The company's history began 46 years ago with founder Mário Carvalho. Since I was very young, I worked in the bakery sector, at the time it was a union of bakeries in Águeda that supplied the municipality and there was already a great interest in pastry products there.
So he decided to open his own business starting in rented premises, producing traditional Portuguese pastries at night and distributing during the day.
At a time when there was very little offer of this type of product, the business quickly began to grow, mainly due to the demand for these fresh pastry products, namely in schools, cafes, shops and establishments without their own manufacture.
The production of Flor do Vouga is still based on the basic principles taught by the founder Mário Carvalho, that is, quality of raw materials combined with careful production by the work team.
Over the years there has been a desire and demand on the part of Portuguese outside the country to purchase pastry products. We are currently working on the foreign market with some countries, namely England, Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
In 2011 we opened a space of about 230m2 which, in addition to being our showroom, is also a very attractive space where our customers can enjoy our products in all conditions. In addition to pastries, we also have light meals and handmade ice creams.
Our goal remains the same to grow sustainably with the quality of our products.
